How do I Sever the Hedron Links in CONTROL Resonant?

Enter the Unknown, progress Pope’s Research until Gravity Wells open both routes, then defeat Hedron Factor at the Patterned Evac Building and Hedron Proxy at the Patterned Field Office.

CONTROL Resonant Sever the Hedron Links

Quick answer: Sever the Hedron Links is the late Contain the Crisis mission after The Hedron Link. Enter the Unknown (Oldest House Roof Access), progress Pope’s Research until Gravity Wells open both routes, then sever the southern Patterned Evac Building link (Hedron Factor) and the northeast Patterned Field Office link (Hedron Proxy) — either order. Unofficial companion.

Steps

Start from Downtown / Oldest House after The Hedron Link.
Elevator → Roof Access → Unknown.
Advance Pope’s Research balloons until both Link islands are reachable via Gravity Wells.
Southern route → Patterned Evac Building → interact TV / domain → defeat Hedron Factor.
Northeast route → Patterned Field Office → defeat Hedron Proxy.
Quest completes when both Links are severed → story continues toward Rebuild / Fight to the Core.

Stuck — marker unreachable?

Almost always a missing Gravity Well. Keep placing Probe Relays on the Pope’s Research path that faces the Evac or Field Office islands. You can start Sever before finishing all eight balloons, but both Link routes must be open.

Rewards & materials

Expect Living Shard / story progress; Hedron Factor & Proxy also drop late materials used for Patterned Thought upgrades. Trophy lists often credit Stop it At the Source on completion — confirm in your platform list.
